S’MORE SQUARES

Calling all s’more fans, this square is for you!  It’s just like a s’more but with a light gluten-free crust and a chocolate and marshmallow topping. It’s just like a s’more but with a light gluten-free crust and a chocolate and marshmallow topping. I’m so pleased to be able to enjoy any marshmallow treat without the gelatine (animal protein).  Dandies’ mini marshmallows are made without artificial flavours  (colours or corn syrup and are gluten-free as well.  So, to all my vegan friends ……. enjoy every glorious bite!

Prepare crust:

Preheat oven to 350F

Whisk together all dry ingredients in a medium bowl.  Add maple syrup and oil and mix well.  I use my hands to mix the dough thoroughly.  Press into a lined 9 x 5” loaf pan.  Bake for 20 minutes.  Let crust cool completely.

Prepare topping:

Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over prepared crust.

Place the remaining filling ingredients in microwaveable cup and microwave for approximately 2 minutes until chocolate is completely melted.  Stir well.  Pour chocolate mixture over marshmallows.  Using the back of a spoon spread the chocolate evenly.Give the pan a couple of taps to help chocolate mixture flow around marshmallows easily.  Refrigerate for 2 hours to allow chocolate to set.

Lift out of pan and cut into 12 bars.
