I created an easy snack so I would have something in my freezer I can grab and enjoy. You can make these squares any size you like depending on how you will be using them. Smaller portions are easy to add to fruit, yogurt or a smoothie bowl. I have even enjoyed these cute little squares as a cereal and poured milk over them! Make them bigger and you can enjoy your favourite nut butter on them. Only eight ingredients and one bowl to make these light, delicious squares.
Preheat oven 350F
Whisk all dry ingredients together in a medium bowl.
Add maple syrup and oil. Mix well … I use my hands to mix the dough thoroughly.
Roll out dough, into the shape of a rectangle, between two pieces of parchment paper. The dough should be about ¼ – 1/8 inch in thickness.
Cut the dough into 3 x 3 cm squares. I find using a pizza cutter works well. Bake for 12 – 14 minutes. The outside edge will darken slightly.
Once the squares are baked, cut them again following the cutting lines created previously. You need to move quickly as the squares will harden as they cool.
Enjoy them as a topping or eat them as a snack!!
