SPICY CAULIFLOWER BITES

If you’re looking for a crowd pleaser these cauliflower bites make the perfect appetizer for any get-together or party.  Serve them with fresh veggies and my Dill-icious Dipping Sauce!!  Easy to make ahead … just warm up in the microwave.  I have also served these bites as a main dish with a large Caesar salad. Either way, you can’t go wrong with this one!!

Make the sauce:  Combine hot sauce, avocado oil, soy sauce and apple cider vinegar in small bowl.   Whisk well and refrigerate.

Preheat oven to 450F

Place cauliflower, avocado oil, flour, and spices in a bowl and mix until cauliflower is evenly coated.  Place coated cauliflower on lined cookie sheet.  Bake for 20 minutes.  Turn cauliflower after 10 minutes to prevent burning.

Brush on spicy sauce and bake an additional 10 minutes.  Remove from oven and use brush to coat cauliflower bites with barbecue sauce.

Serve with Dill-icious Dipping Sauce.  Yummy!!

Preheat oven to 450F

Prepare Spicy Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce substitute or coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Prepare Cauliflower:

  • 1 large cauliflower chopped into large chunks
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons gluten free flour or cassava flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (I use Stubb’s Original Bar-B-Q Sauce)

Instructions

You can also serve these in a taco or wrap!!
